This year we read R’eih on the Shabbat preceding the start of the month of Elul.

Traditionally, Elul is a time of review and introspection that challenges us to reflect on how we want to be and act in the new year.

How will we make choices that bring blessings and holiness rather than curses into our lives and our world?

While R’eih suggests guidelines for this process, the challenge is to discover how those ‘commandments’ might be relevant to us now.

This meditation session will use movement, sacred chanting, and inner listening to explore this question. It will be led by Barbara Nordstrom-Loeb. (While not required, the reading for this Shabbat can be found in Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17.
