This week's Torah Parshat Sh'lach is from Numbers (13.1-15.41). This Parsha tells the story of Moses sending out 12 men to scout the  land of Canaan. When the scouts return, they tell the Israelis how strong the Canaanites are and how they will destroy the Jews. The Israelis  panic and ask to be sent back to Egypt.  After much pleading from Moses, G-d agrees to not destroy the Hebrews for their lack of faith.  Instead, he sentences the Jews to wander in the desert for 40 years.

This Parsha reminds us how easily it is to lose faith when one is confronted by harsh news. The meditation will focus on being grounded so that one does not lose balance when faced  with unpleasantness.

It will be lead by Barry Epstein.
