For more than half a century, testimonies about rape, forced prostitution, forced sterilization and abortion, and other forms of sexual violence against Jewish women during the Holocaust were silenced, muted, or ignored.  Rochelle Saidel and Sonja Hedgepeth’s anthology, Sexual Violence against Jewish Women during the Holocaust, with chapters by international scholars using Nazi documents and memoirs, is a bold and courageous examination of Jewish women’s experiences.

Professor Hedgepeth will speak about her book on Monday, March 18, 7:00 - 8:30 pm at Mt. Zion Temple in St. Paul.

The talk is open to the public and no reservations are necessary.  Free to students, $5 seniors, $10 general public.

Co-sponsored by Mt. Zion Temple, Congregation Shir Tikvah, and Temple Israel.
