Our Hebrew School strives to develop a passion for learning while instilling pride in Judaism and commitment to our Jewish community through the study of Hebrew language which connects all of us to each other.

Bar/Bar Mitzvah

Bar/Bat Mitzvah marks an important time in the life of a child and his or her family. In order for Bar/Bat Mitzvah to be truly meaningful, it must signify hard work and a commitment to Jewish life.

Shir Tikvah requires that all students study Hebrew for a full five years, beginning in the third grade. Students also make a commitment to continue in Shir Tikvah's Religious School through Confirmation in the 10th grade.

Classes are held one evening per week with two sessions offered to accommodate family needs: 4:15 - 6:00 and 6:15 - 8:00.

The goal of our program is to provide each student with a useful and meaningful knowledge of modern and prayerbook Hebrew.
