Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Sunday, January 14, 2018

"The time is always right to do what is right." -Martin Luther King Jr.

Join us for our annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service - a day devoted to good.

All projects at Shir Tikvah begin at 9:30am in the sanctuary.

Engage. Sign up here for a project either at Shir Tikvah or a non-profit organization in the Twin Cities.

Donate. Our Day relies on a number of purchases and supplies to support our projects and populations in need. Consider donating funds in increments of $18 (via our GiveMN site or a check made out to Shir Tikvah with memo line: Day of Service), and/or dropping off any amount of the following needs in advance of January 14th at Shir Tikvah:

  • winter clothing: hats, gloves, socks
  • hand warmers, band-aids, and other first aid kit needs
  • granola bars, crackers, pudding, fruit snacks, and other non-perishable healthy snacks
  • plastic spoons, forks, and other utensils
  • chapstick, lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpastes, and other toiletry items
  • diapers, small toys, wet wipes, and other needs for babies and tots
  • gift cards to Cub Foods, Target, and the like for $10-$20
  • packs of water bottles

For more information, please be in touch with Sara Lahyani or Forrest Yesnes via email or in the Shir Tikvah office at 612.822.1440.
