A Chavurah is a small group of families, couples, or individuals who share
common interests and the desire to meet together on a regular basis. These
meetings help to create a personal sense of Jewish belonging and community
within the larger congregation. Your chavurah group will decide what focus
the group will have, and can include a variety of different activities such
as celebrating holidays together, torah study, theatre outings, and of
course meals. They usually meet monthly in the homes of members.
If you would like to participate in a chavurah at Shir Tikvah, please fill
out the interest form on the shir tikvah website, or contact Linda Alter via
email at alterhomes@mindspring.com, or call her at 651-698-4994. You may be
placed with an existing chavurah depending on your interests, or when enough
new requests are gathered, a new group will be formed.
